Help Save a Young Life — Rally for a Liver Transplant and a Future

Hi everyone,

I’m writing this with a heavy heart, but also with hope — hope in the kindness of people, in community, and in the power of coming together when someone truly needs help.

My dear friend is fighting for her life.

She has been diagnosed with cardiac artery disease, also horrible liver disease, jaundice / decompensated hepatic cirrhosis, a life-threatening condition that has caused her liver to fail. She is now on the transplant list and will need a liver transplant to survive. Right now, it is only a matter of time — and faith — before she gets the call that a donor liver is available. Until that moment, she is in and out of the hospital, growing weaker, and struggling every single day just to make it through.

She is young. She is kind. She is a good person.

She has her whole life ahead of her — dreams, plans, and a future that deserves to be lived.

But right now, that future is being overshadowed by fear, illness, and overwhelming financial hardship.

Because of how sick she is, she cannot work. Her strength is limited, her body is failing her, and she is doing everything she can just to survive. Medical bills continue to pile up. Living expenses don’t stop. Transportation to and from medical appointments is a constant struggle. She is facing bankruptcy simply because she is too ill to earn a living — something no one should ever have to go through while fighting for their life.

She is trying. She is fighting. She is doing everything within her power.

But she cannot do this alone.

This fundraiser is to help her become financially stable enough to survive this battle:

• Giving her a chance to focus on healing instead of debt
