Today, while returning home after dropping off two of my rescued kittens for their spay surgery, I spotted a malnourished cat sitting by a fence, barely moving. As I got closer, I saw how skinny he was and noticed his face was covered in discharge. I tried to catch him with a towel, but he was too scared, so my friend and I rushed home to get traps. Thankfully, I was able to carefully approach him and get him safely inside a trap.

Once home, I realized just how much he had been suffering. His mouth was full of rotten, infected teeth, making it extremely painful—if not impossible—for him to eat. He was starving and in urgent need of medical care. I immediately scheduled a vet appointment, but his treatment will be costly. He’ll need bloodwork, antibiotics, pain medication, and, most importantly, dental surgery to relieve his pain and give him a chance at recovery.

As an independent rescuer, I do as much as I can for stray kitties, but lately, I’ve been overwhelmed by the number of cats in my care and their medical needs. Still, I simply cannot leave a sick cat outside, knowing he might not survive without help. Dental procedures are especially expensive, which is why I’m asking for support.

I’m hoping this animal-loving community will come together to help me give this cat the care he desperately needs. Any support you can offer will make a world of difference for him.
