Help!

A local (Milwaukie, OR.) business, is in danger of closing its doors forever, and we have to try and stop this from happening. Jill Younce, opened the Painted Lady Coffee House, located at 2045 SE Washington St., in Milwaukie Oregon, just over 7 years ago. If you’re not familiar with this great place, she not only offers coffee drinks, but also her handmade baked goods, delicious breakfast and lunch foods and she keeps art, from local artists, on display. It’s a comfortable, cozy place with a home-style vibe. Jill has surrounded herself with the friendliest staff, too, which makes this place even more amazing!


This coffee shop, that has become a go-to spot on Saturday morning, for some, and a daily routine for others, is now dangling on the edge of closing. Located directly across the street, is a new, 10-story apartment/retail building, that’s been under construction, for the last year. Due to the construction, business has slowed to the point that keeping the doors open, is no longer possible. The road closures and lack of parking have obliterated the flow of customers from this, once flourishing, small business.

Please help me save Jill’s business. Every dollar that is donated will help Jill pay her staff, her lease and associated costs of keeping her business going, during this slow time. We can come together as friends, and as a community, and show Jill that Milwaukie cares about her, and our small businesses. We have to act fast, or the doors will close, after November 2nd!
