Help Save a Life in the Chittagong Hill Tracts

Donation protected
I am raising money for the wife of one of my father’s close friends, who lives in the Chittagong Hill Tracts of Bangladesh. My family is originally from this region, which is home to Indigenous communities that are often ignored and underserved, especially when it comes to healthcare. She urgently needs heart surgery, but her family is extremely poor and cannot afford the cost. Even basic medical care is difficult to access where they live. Despite these challenges, the local community came together and managed to raise some funds, giving all they could—but it’s still far from enough.

As a student living in the United States, I recognize the privilege I have to speak up and ask for help in ways my community back home cannot. This fundraiser is deeply personal to me because it’s my way of using my voice to support my people when they are facing a life-or-death situation. The funds raised will go directly toward covering the cost of her life-saving heart surgery. Without this surgery, her condition will continue to worsen. My hope is that, with enough support, we can give her a real chance to live.

Every dollar goes directly toward covering the cost of her heart surgery. Without this operation, her condition will worsen, and time is critical. If you are able to donate, no matter how small the amount, you are helping save a life. If you cannot donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser so it can reach others who might be able to help. Your support could be the reason a mother survives.
