Help Save a Life: Fund Jaw Cyst Surgery
I have a massive cyst in my lower jaw that has been growing for 12 years. My father never got it taken care of when I was a child and by the point I was 18 and able to take care of it myself I was struggling with homelessness and unable to deal with it. It's a rare type of cyst that is constantly growing causing severe pain and has affected my quality of life. Unable to eat normally, regularly having to go on courses of antibiotics to prevent my entire face from swelling. It's cost me work, and has negatively impacted my mental health to the point of needing weekly therapy. I've spent over a year now navigating the medical system trying to get help but I get turned away because it's either too severe for the surgeon to take my case, or I don't have the right insurance. I got onto state insurance and was then told that it's not the right insurance and am constantly going in circles trying to sort this out. My only option at this point is to pay out of pocket but with the amount of issues this cyst causes its not feasible for me to be able to work enough to pay for this myself. I need help, more help than the medical system or state offers by. This go fund me will pay for me to be seen at Tufts and get the cyst cleaned out and hopefully fully removed. I've had multiple doctors state concern over it growing to the point where I will lose the ability to speak, drink, eat, or breath. I need help and am out of options. This is a lot resort effort.
