Need help to keep my home and another back surgery

This is so embarrassing to even do this but I don't know what else to do. I need help catching up with my house payments and other bills. I worked hard to buy my house and don't want to lose it. I sure couldn't afford to rent in this area, a house like mine is renting for close to $2000.00 a month and you have to have proof of income and 1st and last months rent as well as a $1000.00 security deposit and with me having a dog and 2 cats I would have to put down a pet deposit also. So just to rent I would have to have at least $5000.00. As many of you know I have worked as a nanny since 2017 because I could no longer sit behind a desk in an office after the accident on June 3, 2009.

Unfortunately, I was unable to work in February due to the snow/ice, then I got sick. From the middle of February to the beginning of February I was seen by 5 different doctors, 12 office visits and 4 prescriptions only to say that I had bronchitis and sinus infection. Also, during this time I had 2 different biopsies to rule out cancer, thankfully they were both negative. The reason for this post is because of all these bills I got behind on my house payments and bills since I was unable to work but pick up an occasional babysitting job.

My social security check is $1564.00. My bills as of today, June 23, 2025 $1497.91, this excludes credit cards as I gave up paying on them. This leaves me $66.09 to get my diabetic, thyroid and pain prescriptions as well as gas for my vehicle and groceries. This doesn't even cover my prescriptions, heaven forbid I see any doctors. I've had to cancel future follow-up appointments as I don't have the $35.00 co payment for each visit. As most of you all know I lost all the food in my freezer recently, it was all meats and some frozen veggies. I have a $1000 deductible so no coverage from insurance.

I was working at Arvest Ballpark concessions but that was only 3-4 days every couple of weeks. I unfortunately had to quit this job last week due to getting sick from getting heat exhaustion. I've always been the one to jump in and help anyone in need. I'm a diabetic and struggle with food insecurities. I hit up several food banks a month but unfortunately 90 percent of that food is not diabetic friendly but when you are hungry you eat what you have, which has caused my blood sugars to become out of control at times and I fear that it may cause more health problems, especially since I only have one kidney. I have been selling extra things around the house to get by but that has dried and I haven't sold anything recently.

I also need another back surgery, S-1 to S-3, my tailbone. I had hoped to be able to do it after my granddaughter goes back to school in August but financial that is impossible, that is the reason for pain pills in my budget. Luckily, I don't need them everyday, I have a pretty high pain tolerance from all the pain from the wreck on June 3, 2009.

Please don't shame me, I feel bad enough. I am looking for a more permanent job, trying to update my resume. I have found several evening jobs that I can work after watching my granddaughter during the day. The pay is good and offer 20-28 hours a week. I'm also looking at work from home job as I watch my granddaughter during the summer as well as any days she is out of school during the school year. I am 68 years old and never ever imagined that I would be on here looking for help. If you can't help please pray for me to find a job. Thank you.
