Help Save A Female Veteran From Being 1 of the #22
I am a young female veteran with PTSD due to a military sexual trauma and a VERY limited support system.
For the most part, I navigated the storms of 2020 relatively well.
Fast forward to late December when things got really fun:
> On December 20 a contract was abruptly terminated by a client and the client is refusing to honor my termination agreement. I’ve lost a few thousand dollars in the mix.
With this being said I am broke, do not qualify for the stimulus, and I am waiting on the next round of payment protection loans/grants/a miracle.
I’d tapped out my savings moving after the lightening strike + extended stay in Sept/Oct. My previous landlord refused to do any repairs and I wasn’t able.
> On December 23 a road rager shot out my tire on I 10, I crashed & my car is now totaled and impounded in a lot where it is accruing fees upwards of $100 a day.
St Charles parish even pulled a bullet from the tire at the scene.
This is unbelievably distressing because throughout my years I have always had my car to be homeless in. I’m more bothered by not having my car to turn to and anything else. I know it sounds insane but it is what it is and I just thought I’d mention.
It’s also worth noting that I broke my laptop this morning which wouldn’t be as big a problem if I weren’t a front end developer/designer.
