Hi, my name is Stephanie, and I’m raising funds to help a resilient little dog who has already survived more than most.
The day before Thanksgiving, my friend and I found him in Houston’s Third Ward—lying almost lifeless after yet another dog fight. At first, we thought he was gone. But miraculously, he was still fighting to stay alive. With a limp, a bloody ear and nose, and multiple puncture wounds (old and new), he slowly let us guide him into my friend’s backyard for temporary safety. Unfortunately, he does not have a foster, he's being passed between volunteers, but this is where your help comes in!
His Medical Journey:
He’s now under veterinary care with a treatment plan that includes:
- Temporary boarding (12/1-12/5)
- Medicated baths for severe skin issues
- Steroids and antibiotics for inflammation and infection
- Ear infection treatment
- Neutering once he’s strong enough
- Heartworm treatment, which is critical for his long-term health
Since being rescued, he’s shown us what a sweet soul he is. He takes treats gently, doesn’t bark (at least not yet), he's calm during bath time and even offers his paw for a Greenie! Despite everything he’s endured, he’s well-mannered and trusting. This brave boy has a long road ahead, but with proper care, he can heal, thrive and find his furever home.
Why We Need Your Help:
All these treatments come with significant costs, and we want to give him the best chance at a healthy, happy life. Every dollar will go directly toward his medical care and recovery.
How You Can Help:
Please consider donating—any amount makes a difference. If you can’t donate, sharing this campaign means the world to us. Together, we can give this sweet pup the life he deserves (the life all fur babies deserve). I will disclose all incurred costs once he's undergone his first week of treatment. By the end of his boarding this week at the vet, it's estimated at $675 and climbing.
Pending a number of logistics, we're hoping to get this boy into a rescue program and with an in-home foster. We've reached out to a few but, as most are, they are all at capacity. If you know anyone willing, please let me know!
Thank you for reading his story and for caring about his future.
