Emergency: Help Coco Fight for Her Life After Sudden Cardiac Arrest
April 15th, our sweet rescue puppy Coco suddenly collapsed without warning. She went into cardiac arrest and stopped breathing.
We performed CPR and rushed her to the emergency hospital, where the veterinary team immediately took over life-saving measures. Shortly after arrival, Coco went into anaphylactic shock—the cause is still unknown.
Since 3:30 PM yesterday, Coco has been fighting for her life under constant emergency care.
Her condition is critical. She has already required a plasma transfusion and is now receiving a blood transfusion as her values began to rapidly decline, and she is still not stabilized. Every hour matters right now.
Coco is only one year old. She was rescued at the end of January from the beach in Las Picuas, Puerto Rico, alongside her mother. After everything she’s already been through, this is the last thing we ever imagined could happen.
Our rescue, Furiend Flight, is committed to giving Coco every possible chance to survive and recover—but we cannot do this alone.
Her emergency medical bills have already exceeded $5,000, and they continue to rise as she remains in critical care.
We are asking for your help to continue her treatment and give this beautiful girl the fighting chance she deserves.
Every donation—no matter the size—goes directly toward Coco’s life-saving care.
If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing her story. It truly makes a difference.
Thank you for standing with Coco and helping us fight for her life.
