My name is Tamanna, and I am reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your support in saving my little niece, Ashika Singh, just 3 years old.

Ashika was a happy, playful child until recently when she suddenly developed high fevers, weakness, and low blood counts. After multiple hospital visits, tests, and a bone marrow examination at Christian Medical College (CMC), Ludhiana, India, she was diagnosed with a very rare and aggressive cancer:

Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML) in Lymphoid Blast Crisis, behaving like B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (B-ALL).

This is one of the most dangerous stages of blood cancer, with 94% blasts in her bone marrow. The doctors explained that her CML has transformed into acute leukemia, which is extremely difficult to treat without urgent and aggressive therapy.

Current Condition

Hb (hemoglobin): as low as 7 g/dL → causing severe weakness.

Platelets: dropping from 2,00,000 to 93,000 → now 54,000, raising bleeding risks.

Neutrophils: at times zero, making her body unable to fight infections.

She is battling persistent high fevers (up to 105°F), surviving only with blood transfusions, antibiotics, and fever medicines.

Treatment Plan at CMC Ludhiana

Induction Chemotherapy with an ALL protocol (4–6 weeks in hospital).

To reduce blasts to <5% and bring her into remission.

Requires constant blood & platelet transfusions, IV antibiotics, and ICU monitoring.

Bone Marrow / Stem Cell Transplant (BMT) – the only cure.

Needs to be done as soon as remission is achieved.

Donor will be searched via registry since Ashika has no siblings.

Estimated Cost

Induction chemotherapy & hospitalization for 1 round: CAD 3200- 4700 /month (approx). Depending on her improvement inductions rounds will be from 4-5.

Bone marrow transplant: CAD 31000- 47000 (depending on donor source).

Total estimated treatment cost: CAD 67000- 70000

We are a middle-class family, and to arrange the whole amount in such a short duration is far beyond our reach. We have funds of CAD 31000 available, currently short of some where around CAD 35000-40000. Every day in hospital brings new expenses for medicines, transfusions, tests, and supportive care.
