Plea for Help!: 14 Cats Rescued from Hoarder House

Dear friends,

I’m reaching out with a heavy heart and urgent plea for help. We have rescued 14

 of 14 cats from a horrific hoarding. The property owner is willing to surrender the cats directly to me where I will foster until intake spots become available at local shelters and rescues. Dozens of organizations have been contacted and numerous surrender applications submitted. Multiple local officials have been notified/contacted as well, but do not respond or say they can’t help. Now, we urgently need donations and supplies for those rescued and the rest we hope to get.

These cats are neglected and living in unimaginable conditions:

There are trash piles up to the ceiling, forcing the cats to navigate through unsafe and unhealthy conditions.

They are living in their own fecal matter and urine.

The house has no air conditioning. Extreme temperatures in the upper 90’s combined with toxic ammonia fumes make it extremely difficult to breathe, further endangering the cats' health.

Many of the cats are still wearing flea collars that were put on several years ago. They’ve started to embed in the cat’s necks.

This is all a painful reminder of how long they have been neglected and in need of urgent care. Many may be suffering from underlying health issues due to living in biohazard conditions for YEARS. It’s not just a case of overcrowding; it’s a desperate cry for help from these innocent animals who deserve so much better, and we can’t turn our backs on them.
