My name is Christine, and I am writing this on behalf of a very dear friend, Savanna. Anyone who knows Savanna knows that she has the most incredible capacity for love, especially when it comes to animals. Savanna adopted Olive in 2024 during an incredibly transitional place in her life. While her life was being rebuilt, her one consistency was Olive. She was the most cuddly little kitten, with boundless energy. She was a spirited outdoor girl, an adventurer from day one.

Last week, the unspeakable happened. She learned her beloved cat, Olive, may not have long to live. A potential case of kitty asthma turned out to be the worst-case scenario, and she has growths in her lungs impeding her ability to breathe effectively. Savanna noticed something was wrong when, once a fierce and determined hunter, Olive started hiding under the bed, struggling to eat, and refusing to go outside for her daily romps. She is clearly suffering, and Savanna knows the kindest thing to do is to offer her support and care in her last moments so she can feel truly loved and not have to suffer.
