Help Savannah and Casper rebuild their home

Hi, my name is Melissa. Some of you may know my friend and her little family, and some may not.

 

Savannah and Casper recently experienced a winter storm that left them without power for over a week. Pipes burst throughout their home, destroying almost the entire house and leaving them displaced for the next three months.

 

They wouldn’t ask for any help on their own, but after seeing their house in ruins, I felt I should on their behalf. They have a rescue dog and a one-year-old son which only complicates the situation. They are a small family who just started out a year ago after being relocated to Memphis, buying a house, and starting new lives.

 

They are working with their insurance, but they didn’t save or plan for a situation like this where they will have to pay their entire deductible and battle insurance for a fraction of what their possessions are worth.

 

They have to continue to pay their mortgage and utilities while not being at the house all the while living in hotels and searching for temporary housing in which they’ll have to pay deposits / extra expenses for their dog and other costs insurance will not cover or expects them to front.

 

Their personal belongings and baby's necessities are destroyed or in storage, which can not be accessed without jumping through hoops with their insurance.

 

Please help their small family rebuild their life and home.
