My dog, Savage, will be 10 years old in October, and she has been by my side through some of the hardest years of our lives. So this has been really hard on us, because Savage is our like baby..Two years ago, she had surgery to remove two tumors from her leg and back. Since then, though, multiple more tumors have appeared all over her leg. Our vet told us that it seems to have come back more aggressively, and there is also concern about a possible swollen lymph node in her groin.

Our vet referred us to BluePearl Animal Hospital for further care. The first step requires an upfront cost for the oncologist, and after that there may be additional expenses for surgery, medication, x-rays or full body scans to look for other tumors, and testing of the tumors. I was originally counting on my tax return to help cover these costs, but that did not work out the way I hoped. Now I am trying to find a way to get Savage the care she needs as quickly as possible.
