Help Savage Cat Berry get his gum biopsy!

Update: WOW! THANK YOU! We reached the low-end estimate goal in less than 24 hours. I will always get the animals I commit to anything and everything they need - they are prioritized above everything - but having this support is a huge relief to carrying this promise alone.
I raised the goal to the high-end estimate of Berry's biopsy.
Anything raised over the actual cost will go towards our next Savage Cats veterinary needs, like treatment for the cats affected still in our care.

I'm Karla, one of the owners of a coffee shop in Savage, Maryland called Brewing Good Coffee Company. My background is in animal rescue, so when I noticed that our town had a large, unmanaged stray cat population, I had to do something.
I started "Savage Cats ", a project that I self-fund and manage along with a couple of friends.
We TNR unsocialized adult cats and we foster friendly stray cats and match them with adoptive homes, providing all of them veterinary care, including testing, vaccines, microchip, and spay/neuter. We have helped 47 cats since we started in 2017, and nearly half of those (24 cats) were in 2024, so we are increasing our efforts. The basic veterinary care outlined above runs between $250-$300 per cat, plus booster vaccines and daily care costs, like food and litter.
It's a lot, but it has been manageable, and we've been lucky to not run into many special medical needs, but we are facing one now.
Six of our Savage Cats have gingivitis. Five are a momma cat and her 8-month-old kittens ("Cheesecake" and "the Mini Cheesecakes") and another is an older 11-month-old kitten ("Hoagie") rescued from the same location and possibly related to the Cheesecakes. We need to identify the underlying cause of the gingivitis so that we can (1) treat it, if possible, and (2) learn if they can safely live with other cats.
Luckily, there's a test that can give us the answer and we only have to test one cat to safely presume what they all have going on. Mini Cheesecake "Berry" is our brave little guy who is getting a biopsy of his inflamed gums on Wednesday, April 30, which will require anesthesia and pre-op bloodwork (which he has already received).
The low-end estimate is $623.05. The high-end estimate is $1,095.73.
Raising even part of the low-end estimate would be tremendously helpful. Please only donate if it's comfortably within your capabilities. Otherwise, sharing our fundraiser and telling people about Savage Cats also contributes to our continuing this work. Thank you!
