My name is Spencer.

I am creating this campaign on behalf of my long-time best friend Sav Fields.

Sav is seeking gender-affirming surgery that is scheduled to happen in January of 2023. We are so unbelievably excited for them as this has been something they have needed for a long time.

I could truly write a novel on all of the wonderful things that make Sav who they are and explain their significance in my life. We have known each other since we were 11/12 years old. We have grown up side by side. I have watched them blossom into the creative, intelligent, hardworking, empathetic, and thoughtful person they are today.

In a world where queer people are systematically disenfranchised, to be able to help in a queer POCs liberation and euphoria is a radical service that we as a community can provide. What a gift it is to hold each other.

We are asking for $8,000 in order to cover the cost of surgery and the lost wages for recovery time for both Sav and their partner so that Sav has adequate time and support to heal.
