Help Saurabh Fight Stage IV Germ Cell Cancer
A Sister’s Plea for Hope and Healing
With a heavy heart, I’m reaching out to friends, family, and compassionate strangers to support my brother, Saurabh, in his courageous battle against a rare and aggressive form of cancer.
At just 34 years old, Saurabh was diagnosed with Stage IV Germ Cell Cancer in January 2025. His journey has been filled with misdiagnoses, painful treatments, and unimaginable challenges—but he continues to fight with strength and grace.
How It All Began
In April 2024, Saurabh began experiencing severe back pain. Despite visiting multiple doctors and undergoing months of physiotherapy, his condition worsened. By December, he could barely sit or stand. An MRI revealed a 25cm tumor near his left kidney.
Initially misdiagnosed as kidney cancer, a complex surgery was attempted—but the tumor had already spread into his spine and aorta. Multiple biopsies later, doctors finally confirmed it was Embryonal Carcinoma, a rare Germ Cell Tumor that originated in his abdomen.
The Fight So Far
Since his diagnosis, Saurabh has undergone:
• Multiple rounds of chemotherapy
• Radiation therapy
• Extended hospital stays
• Painful complications including nerve compression and partial loss of left leg control
Now, chemotherapy is no longer an option. The only hope is a high-risk, life-saving surgery involving:
• Removal of multiple affected spinal vertebrae
• Removal of the left kidney and psoas major muscle
• Spinal reconstruction with metal implants
• Blood vessel removal if required
This surgery has never been attempted in this form before. After an exhaustive search, we’ve found a specialist willing to take on this challenge—but the cost is overwhelming.
