In October of 2023, my mother went to her monthly doctor's appointment. Everything seemed well until her doctor gave her some bad news. She was listening to her heart, as every doctor does, and she heard my mother's was a bit offbeat, so she recommended her to get an ultrasound to see what was going on. We got the results back in January of 2024, and it turns out my mother has a heart murmur.

After a few more months, her doctor recommended us to a cardiologist to get more information about it. We’ve been seeing this office now for some months, and as you might guess, my mother doesn’t have medical insurance, so everything we pay is coming out of pocket.

As of now, she has a left and right catheterization lab this upcoming month, and that’s not a cheap bill. In addition, the doctor has recommended surgery to fix the issue going on, but we have to get more information about it and then get recommended to a bigger hospital.

This money we collect will be for her outstanding medical bills and medications. Anything helps. I do sincerely appreciate every single one of you that took the time to read this.

Recibimos los resultados en enero de 2024 y resultó que mi madre tiene un soplo cardíaco.

Después de unos meses, su doctora nos recomendó un cardiólogo para obtener más información al respecto. Llevamos varios meses yendo a esta consulta y, como te imaginarás, mi madre no tiene seguro médico, así que todo lo que pagamos lo pagamos de nuestro bolsillo.

Por ahora, tiene un cateterismo cardíaco izquierdo y derecho este mes, y no es una factura barata. Además, el médico recomendó una cirugía para solucionar el problema, pero necesitamos obtener más información y que nos recomienden un hospital más grande.
