Help Sasha walk and use both hands.

Sasha is 12 years old. She was born with a serious illness - cerebral palsy. We are raising funds for a SPML surgery in the USA. This surgery should help her to learn to walk and use both hands.

Now, Sasha can barely speak and cannot stand or walk on her own. Her left hand only works, but not in full: there are gross motor skills and partly fine motor skills, but the range of movement is much smaller than healthy children have. Her right hand does not work. Sasha wants and tries to use it, but the muscles are constantly tightened with spastics. So far, she spends almost all her life in a wheelchair - at school, on trips, and in treatments. Recently, Sasha started going to a rugby club at the sports center for the disabled. It is hard to convey how much happiness and emotions she feels every time! We really hope that Sasha will be able to learn to walk without support and use both hands and someday will be able to play like other children. For this, she needs a complex SPML surgery, developed by Dr. Roy. M. Nuzzo in the USA, and a post-surgery rehabilitation ABM course. The cost of the procedure and rehab is $33,000 (see apportionment below).

Dr. Nuzzo is ready to take on Sasha and help her. SPML surgery can reduce the tone, twisting, and tension in the muscles with spasticity while maintaining the functionality of those muscles. We have been able to talk to patients who have undergone the surgery. Their results give us great hope.
