Hello! I am Saron Yared, a rising senior studying Film Studies & Communication at Boston College with a passion for documentary filmmaking and an aspiring Creative Producer. I've recently been accepted to the American Pavilion's Cannes internship program, a very competitive opportunity. The annual Cannes International Film Festival is arguably the biggest and most prestigious in the world; the industry's top producers, writers, directors, and actors are in attendance during its two-week span.
As an intern, I'll be able to participate in exclusive student roundtables led by established professionals, attend premieres at no cost, and work under the American Pavilion. Additionally, the American Pavilion is the only officially recognized student internship program at the Festival.
As a first generation college student and daughter of two Ethiopian immigrants I am proud to represent my heritage and recognize the importance of such an opportunity. However, the cost of the program is not feasible for me at this time. Which is why I’d appreciate any amount you might be able to give!
In order to hold my spot in the program I need to raise $1000 by April 4th!
