Sarita Reth is representing us in Miss Universe! It doesn't matter if you are or aren't Cambodian, she is young leader.. that took a once in a lifetime opportunity and ran with it.. Please help TeamSarita raise $25,000 and have a huge impact on making a dream into a reality.
Starting her journey from a modest family in a third world country, money was always tight. The situation doesn't get any better adding the Covid-19 Pandemic to the mix either. It has created more challenges and restrictions, but that hasn't stopped her. She has made it here with a suitcase in hand and a small itinerary to get her going day by day. With No major sponsors backing her, she is fueling her dreams with everything she has saved up.
Our family had the honor to host Sarita for a few days before she went into lockdown during this week's competition. She was genuine and down to earth, but you could tell there was this sense of fierce determination to represent our home country of Cambodia. In a country that has experienced so much turmoil, Sarita is a prime example of someone challenging the status quo. She is more than a bright beautiful young woman that has big ambitions, she is a person with a dream. I hope the GoFundMe campaign will take off and make that into a reality. Help her be an inspiration to us all, and to our children.
Lets' pave the way and continue to carve a path for future generations. Women's Leadership and Empowerment are not something that is commonly brought up in third-world countries. Its time the world sees, it doesn't matter where you come from.. its where you are headed.. Cambodia is not that much different from where you live, the struggles and division are part of every day life. Its 2021 and division between countries, races, and genders are flooded in our news feeds.
