UPDATE: Sarina will be getting her surgery on December 4th, 2025. She will be getting teeth extracted and her teeth cleaned. We appreciate everyone’s support towards this surgery and we are glad it’s in motion to be done. Anything to help cover the expenses would be appreciated and even words of support. ❤️ We will still donate goods to animal shelters as a thank you for donations for Sarina!
Hi! My name is Maia and my partner is Tommy. We adopted our sweet baby girl, Sarina, on April 22nd of this year (2025). When we adopted her, we did not have immediate access to her health records from the SPCA we got her from. We noticed when we brought her home, she had a hard time eating dry food. We switched her to wet food and she was eating! We noticed she had missing teeth- which was not mentioned to us upon adopting her. They said she was not spayed so they assisted with helping us make an appointment for her to get spayed. Upon making that appointment, we were told that we had 14 days to have assistance with covering medical care for her. We had a free vet appointment so we took her to the vet. The vet checked her teeth and made mention that she has bad teeth and has to get teeth extracted and a dental cleaning. We got an estimate… and it’s about $1,700-$2,000 dollars. We went to ANOTHER vet seeking a second opinion and were told the same thing, dental extractions and a dental cleaning estimated at $2,000. The SPCA we adopted her from said they would not assist with surgery costs. So… here we are asking for any help and assistance possible. In this economy, it’s hard for us to put towards $2,000 up front for our baby. We checked into insurances and did as much of our homework as we could. We really are not the type to ask for help when it comes to money, but we really want the best for Sarina’s future. ❤️
Any help is appreciated. As a token of appreciation, I personally would love to donate food to local animal shelters and toys with help we receive for Sarina as a thank you! ❤️
