Hi Friends and Family. Many of you know and love Sargeant; he is Courtney Vashro's beloved golden retriever/companion/sidekick/fur baby, and even if you don't know him (or Courtney), please consider donating to this cause. Sargeant is currently in the hospital suffering from kidney failure, possibly due to cancer. There is some hope that his condition is operable, but right now, he's fighting for his life and the doctors are trying to stabilize him. Courtney is by his side.

I started this fundraiser to help Courtney with Sargeant's medical bills so that she can make the best decisions for him with less worry about the financial burden. I know Courtney and Sargeant have given a lot of love and service to our community on MDI and elsewhere, so I want to give back. Both Courtney and Sargent are top-notch creatures.

I set the goal at $5,000 for now because this is the initial estimate from the ER (without surgery). The funds will go directly to Sargeant's medical expenses. If you cannot afford to contribute, please keep Sargeant and Courtney in your thoughts or pass along good vibes. Please also pass along this fundraiser to people who know Courtney and Sargeant. I will try to keep everyone updated on their status.
