We are KT Duffy, Alicia Smith, Aiyesha Ghani, and Jamie Bates Sloan, and we are raising money to send our student Saray Suarez to graduate school!

Collectively, we encourage you to invest in Saray, who is a super talented emerging artist. They are also a fabulous community member and activist. The four of us professional artists and educators have paid our dues. As part of our continued practices of community and care, we are all called to support the next generation of artists, and we all believe 100% in Saray as an artist and human being.

Saray Suarez is an interdisciplinary artist who is an OU alumni and is planning on attending IAIA (Institute of American Indian Arts). IAIA is not a federally funded institution, so this means most expenses must be paid by the student. Saray and their family will have to take out loans in order to fulfill this. As artists from Oklahoma, we value our collective efforts to support and uplift each other's future. We are asking for any donation that can be made or bidding in the auction to help Saray with tuition expenses, travel, lodging, food, and materials.

IAIA is an important first step to Saray’s artistic career, especially being in an institution that will be focused on Indigenous practices. This is a life-changing step for their future as an artist, activist, and community builder of Oklahoma.
