Help Sara’s Family Rise From the Rubble

Sara’s story:

My name is Sara, I’m 16 years old, and I live with my family in Gaza, which has been devastated by war. Our home, where we once gathered as a small, happy family, is now rubble. There’s no place for memories, and no shelter for us. My father, who worked tirelessly to provide us with a decent life, now stands powerless before all we’ve lost.

My younger sisters and I dream of a better future. We dream of regaining our school, once filled with dreams and friends, but the war has robbed us even of the right to dream. My twin sister shares my struggles, and my little sister always asks, "When will we return home?" But I have no answer.

We now live in a cold tent, with no water or electricity. Our days have turned into a fight for the most basic of rights. Education, which we once saw as the gateway to the future, has become a distant dream.
