Help Sarai’s Fight With Breast Cancer

Hi, my name is Laura, and I am starting this fundraiser for my beautiful, amazing, kind, and loving little sister Sarai Pagan. On November 28th of 2022, she received the unexpected diagnosis of Stage II Invasive Ductal Carcinoma Triple Negative. Not only is this a rare form of breast cancer affecting only 1% of women, but her specific diagnosis is also very aggressive. While this is certainly scary and unfamiliar territory for the entire family, Sarai’s positivity, determination, and faith have been instrumental in her ever-evolving path on this journey.

December 16th marked her first round of chemotherapy and Sarai will endure at least six months of aggressive chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments on a weekly basis, followed by radiation and reconstructive surgery. Due to her young age, Sarai will also be undergoing fertility preservation treatments to ensure she has a chance at starting a family of her own one day. Although some of these treatments will be covered by her health insurance, we are still receiving bills for things that are not expected and are very costly. I am starting this GoFundMe account to help ease the financial burden Sarai will have to endure. She will not be able to work during this time and will have to take as much downtime as possible as she receives treatments in order to be able to focus on her recovery.

If you know Sarai, you know she’s a vibrant and kind soul full of compassion and love for others. This has led to a career choice in social work and helping others through life struggles and achieving a better quality of life.

Now it’s our turn to do our part and help her through this journey. Any donation is welcome, no matter how big or small it is with a grateful heart we accept the gesture of kindness toward Sarai’s current expenses.

Should the donations exceed the cost of her medical bills, the remaining funds will be utilized towards the additional treatment-related expenses and living expenses.
