I have been struggling with pain in my back since I was 19, and have spent years going from doctor to doctor trying to get answers. Over time, my pain progressed from my back to radiating pain and numbness down my right leg. After many tests, I was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease, radiculopathy of the cervical region with myelopathy, and disease of the spinal cord. I also have arthritis along my entire spine.
This has led to paralysis in my right leg, partial paralysis in my left leg, and intermittent paresthesia in both arms due to herniated discs in both my thoracic and cervical spine. I am now in a wheelchair full time. While the tests and visits have slowed down, the bills have not. In addition to medical bills, my family and I need to build a ramp from our porch so I can be independent while using my wheelchair.
All funds raised will go directly toward medical bills and building the ramp. If there are any extra funds, they will go toward purchasing a custom all-terrain wheelchair to help me regain more independence. Any help—whether it’s sharing my story, sending words of encouragement, or making a donation—means the world to me and gives my family peace of mind during this difficult time. Thank you for your support.
