Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

A week after disaster struck in Los Angeles, I want to share the story of Sarah Wing—one of my best friends and one of the kindest, most resilient people I know—who has faced more hardship than anyone should ever have to endure.

My name is Charlotte Mulder, and I’m writing to you as someone who has witnessed Sarah go through incredibly difficult circumstances over the past few months. Currently, I live in Amsterdam, though I’ve also lived in Los Angeles. I am raising these funds to help Sarah recover from the devastating fire that destroyed her temporary home and belongings. Sarah is the most selfless person I know and would never ask for help herself, which is why I’m stepping in on her behalf.

Sarah's Story

In October, Sarah moved from Venice to the Pacific Palisades to build her future life there. Unfortunately, Pacific Palisades fire swept through the area, completely destroying the home where Sarah was renting. Although Sarah didn’t own the property, she lost all of her belongings—clothing, personal items, and irreplaceable keepsakes.

It’s unclear if she has any type of coverage as a renter to compensate for her losses.
