Help Sarah Slay MS

Two months ago, my dear friend Sarah was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. For those of you that know her, it has been a long and difficult journey just to arrive at this diagnosis. Now that we're here, she needs your help.

Sarah had to pack up and move to New Mexico, leaving the new life she had built for herself in Michigan, in order to live with her parents so they could help care for her. At this moment in time, Sarah is unable to walk, shower, or drive without aid. Her condition seems to be deteriorating rapidly, but together we can intervene and help change its course!

Sarah and her parents are trying to get her in to see a new, better neurologist, as well as several other (seven) specialists in order to improve her quality of life. All of this, as you know, costs money. And Sarah's insurance only covers so much of the appointments and potential treatments necessary.  

We need your monetary donations NOW in order to help Sarah:
          - stop the degradation of her eyesight while hopefully eventually restoring some sight
          - regain throat and digestive system functionality
          - mitigate the effects of memory and thinking process degeneration
          - purchase equipment to prevent falls
          - cover prescription medication costs
          - cover travel expenses to get to MS specialists in Arizona

Sarah has been diagnosed with MS in her brain, and is having a spinal tap soon in order to confirm whether or not it is present in her spine. It is difficult for her to ask for help, which is why I'm here asking for her. Please give early and freely, as she is unable to apply for disability until she has a full diagnosis and treatment plan.

I have been friends with Sarah for over a decade. For most of our friendship, Sarah has struggled with health concerns. After years of dismissive, incomplete, and negligent care, she finally has a diagnosis that fits, but she needs your help to obtain the full diagnosis and treatment that she so desperately needs and deserves. Sarah has been a fighter all her life, and she wants to fight now. I believe in her. I believe that she can do this. I love Sarah with all my heart. As a friend, as an artist, and as an amazing human with tremendous insight into the human condition. I know so many of you love her too, and many for the same reasons.
