I met Sarah for the first time when she came to tour my barn as she was looking to buy a horse, and she was so excited! A couple of weeks later, she called to let me know she found exactly what she was looking for! Diggs joined her family, and we welcomed them all to H.O.P.E.! It wasn’t but a couple of days after Diggs was purchased that Sarah noticed that Diggs had blood in his urine. She called a vet out immediately. They said that he would need a scope done. She scheduled the scope appointment for Diggs, and he was hauled into Anoka Equine. The scope results were not what Sarah was hoping for, and it was found that Diggs has an egg-sized stone in his bladder, and it needs to be removed. The cost is roughly $5000. Sarah was heartbroken as she has already fallen in love with Diggs and wants to help him, but unfortunately, is struggling with the funds as it costs a lot to purchase a horse, and then to have the added expense right away to have your horse scoped is a lot. She is doing everything that she can to make sure that Diggs gets the surgery that he needs, but is looking for help with the last $1000. Diggs needs the surgery to be pain-free.
