Hello everyone! My name is Sarah and I am asking for some help, which if you know me, is not something I do lightly or often. If you don’t know me, all I ask is for you to share my story. 9 months ago i started experiencing pelvic pain, and multiple urgent care visits that all ended the same, my symptoms disregarded and prescribed antibiotics. When the pain became unbearable and effecting my active daily life, I went to the Emergency room where they diagnosed me with ovarian cysts. With relief to have found some explanation for the pain, I followed up with my OB who prescribed birth control and had me return 3 months later. That checkup revealed my cysts had shrunk but my pain has only gotten more intense and persistent. Feeling hopeless my doctor suggested it may be Endometriosis, a build up scar tissue outside the uterus that can cause pain, long term damage, and even fuse my organs to each other. The only way to officially diagnose me ,evaluate the extent of the disease, and remove the scar tissue , I need a Laparoscopy. Excited to have found out they do them within my OBGYN Office, i waited for the call to discuss surgery dates, relieved to be on the path to feeling like myself again one day. Unfortunately, Even with insurance, I must pay $4000 before I can schedule the surgery. I please ask for any help you can offer even if just to share this. If you've read this far I'm so grateful for you and you’re time.Thank you
