As many of you know, on August 23, 2003 my twin sister was involved in a horrific car accident. For the last 17 years she has dedicated her life as a motivational speaker Impacting lives around her hoping to touch as many people as she can in preventing them from making the same horrible decision she made that fateful night. Last March, I’m sure as many of you also experienced, the Covid pandemic financially threw my sister and her family for a loop. Sarah’s entire income was halted as most of her speaking engagements were with schools and had been abruptly canceled. Sarah had been trying to save as much as she could and was pursuing avenues to get her teeth fixed. Ever since her accident happened, Sarah has taken full responsibility and never blamed anyone. She has handled her post accident body and face being a young woman better than anyone would ever of had. The last thing I want or Sarah would want is to have anyone feel sorry for her or pity her. She is braver, more courageous than most of us would be facing the daily struggles life has dealt her. She continues to put one foot in front of the other to make ends meet. She recently has found her “post motivational speaking” career and landed at The Fresh Market. Sarah has quickly worked her way up and working here has given her new purpose, renewed energy, lifted her sadness and we have once again seen her smile. She is able to impact her customers with her magnetic personality but at the end of the day lives hiding behind that mask. I’m asking that anything be donated go to helping get the serious and extensive dental work done to restore her smile and her soul. Please, whatever amount even small will help. Thank you everyone for your generosity.
Sincerely,
Nicole Steppig
