The concept of having boobs when you’re a transgender guy is very uncomfortable. I can’t speak for all trans men, but those are the first words that comes to mind: Very uncomfortable. I’ve decided that I don’t want to feel uncomfortable for the rest of my life. I’ve had boobs for 15 years (didn’t really get them until I was around 16 years old- thank you soccer, basketball and running around like a wildabeast in general growing up), and next month I’m having surgery to remove them and I’m so freaking excited to have this missing piece in my life filled in. I’m excited to go surfing and run without a top on. I’m excited to not unconsciously slouch all the time. I’m excited to be in a body that feels more like me.
The only down side is that my insurance doesn’t cover it...The VA is dope, but a little behind with the times.
It’s a little hard and nerve racking to ask for money during a pandemic, and even if we weren’t in one, I know there are more urgent issues to throw money at. But, if you want to help out a bud live his happiest life, go right ahead.
If not, I’ll be laid up for a month, so if you want to drop off a meal or snack, or want to come have a beer with me and play some video games- that works too.
I love you all and thank you for taking the time to read this. I really, really appreciate it.
