Hello everyone,

my name is Sarah and I am a Cuban cello student. Last November, I moved to Germany to begin my master’s degree at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg. It has been a huge financial challenge to move abroad, especially without having my own instrument suited to the demands of my career. Luckily, a dear friend kindly lent me a cello and a bow so that I could continue my studies.

Last week, after a concert, I had an accident: I tripped while leaving the stage, and the bow slipped from my hand and broke. Although it can be repaired, it unfortunately lost its original value (estimated at €2000). Now, it is my responsibility to cover this cost—something I simply cannot manage on my own at the moment.

To make things even harder, just a month ago I was the victim of a phone scam that took away the few savings I had.

Today, on my birthday, I am reaching out to you—friends, family, and acquaintances—with great humility. I kindly ask for your support to help me through this difficult situation.
