Help Sarah McPeck with Medical Bills
Donation protected
Hello. My name is Sarah McPeck in December of last year I was diagnosed with Stage Three moth cancer. I had to undergo very aggressive treatment due to advanced cancer and had to quit working almost immediately. I went back to work in August of this year. Unfortunately due to the length of time, I was out, my job in upper management was no longer there for me and to keep my insurance I had to accept an entry-level position in a different city from where I was working. I decided to move to be closer to my new job and that was also a very high expense, but having an older car I didn't want to be driving all the time. Even before cancer, I worked two or more jobs to pay my bills. Since I have been back, I have been working as hard as I can. I work one full-time job, and a part-time job, teach classes and occasionally door dash. I have to be honest, I am exhausted. Due to an insurance nightmare I still owe almost $6,000 in medical bills. I am also seeing a specialist for lymphedema caused by radiation and have to have scans every three months due to an enlarged lymph node. I also had to have a partial denture made, which was costly. During the last year, I have had to purchase three cars. Two of which broke down with repairs that were too costly to repair. In trying to not incur a car payment, I purchased used vehicles and I ended up spending a fair amount of money on transportation. I am very humbled to have to answer for help. I have set up monthly payment arrangements with my medical bills but I am still having to put monthly expenses on credit and it is getting to the point where I don't have any more credit. It is humbling to have to ask for help and to put my business out there. I know many of you reading this have already donated. I am GRATEFUL. I know that times are tough for everyone and I understand if you are not able to donate. If you could share this request, I would be most thankful. Thank you for helping me through this ordeal. I am grateful to be here and to have a chance to keep living.
