Hi, my name is Sarah - some of you know me as your gal pal Maple Ream.

As a transwoman, everyday I suffer intense dysphoria related to my body. I've had many years of this. Gender affirming surgery is the only way for me to tackle this pain I face daily and unfortunately, almost none of them are covered by insurance.

Having consulted with a surgeon I respect and trust, they recommend that I undergo abdominal surgery in order to help fix my debilitating gender dysphoria. The total cost for the procedures is just under $22,000.

In order to secure a surgery date within the next year I will need to put down $15,000 by the end of August at the latest.

I work two jobs as well as being a caretaker for a family member, and I have and will continue to do my best to save funds within this time frame. However, it will not be possible for me to raise enough on my own so I have opened this fundraiser and I am asking for your help.
