On May 15, our family’s lives changed in an instant after the devastating fire and explosion at the Robbins Lumber Mill in Searsmont, Maine.
Our sister-in-law, Sarah Tompkins, paramedic and Chief of Searsmont Rescue, was severely injured in the explosion. Everyone who knows her knows how selfless, strong, and caring she is. Farmers and first responders know her as a pillar of the community. Many have enjoyed Fine Line Farm’s legendary greens that she has planted, harvested, and delivered throughout MidCoast and Downeast Maine. Her family, farm crew, friends, and dogs eagerly await her return.
Sarah faces an incredibly long road ahead. Doctors anticipate months of hospitalization, including specialized treatment and rehabilitation. As our family focuses on being by her side and supporting her recovery, we are asking for help to ease the overwhelming financial burden ahead. Donations will help cover:
• Extended hospital and rehabilitation expenses
• Travel to and from Maine and Boston
• Lodging and meals for immediate family during treatment
• Lost income and ongoing household expenses
• Future recovery and rehabilitation needs
Right now, she needs the support of her community more than ever.
Sharing the link to this fundraiser with others and keeping our family in your thoughts and prayers during this unimaginable time is deeply appreciated.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for every donation and act of support.
