Hi, my name is Jared Lako, and I’m reaching out on behalf of a dear friend, Sarah LaCoursiere.

Sarah is a devoted wife, a loving mother to three beautiful children (ages 4, 6, and 8), and a school bus driver who has safely transported children in the Flathead Valley for over 16 years.

Now, Sarah is facing the fight of her life...

She was recently diagnosed with multiple forms of thyroid cancer, including:

Papillary Thyroid Cancer

Follicular Thyroid Cancer

Poorly Differentiated Thyroid Cancer

Stage 4a Anaplastic Thyroid Cancer — Anaplastic thyroid cancer (ATC) is a very rare and aggressive form of thyroid cancer, accounting for only 1-2% of all thyroid cancer cases. It affects roughly one to two people per one million per year in the US.

Despite the devastating diagnosis, Sarah is holding strong in her faith, trusting in God’s plan and believing in healing. She has chosen a comprehensive treatment path that includes advanced medical care at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, AZ, as well as holistic therapies to support her recovery.

This journey comes with emotional and financial burdens.

Sarah will be away from her family for 7–8 weeks for the first phase of treatment—starting chemotherapy and beam radiation. Her family will remain in Montana, praying for her healing and doing their best to stay strong without her.

We’re aiming to raise $75,000 to help cover:

Travel for out-of-state medical care.

Travel expenses for her children and husband to visit.

Holistic therapies, supplements, and nutrition.

Gaps in insurance coverage.

Basic living expenses while she’s unable to work.

Clinical trial access for treatment of Anaplastic Thyroid Cancer.
