Help Sarah Get To Junior Worlds!

Sarah Wadsworth will be turning 9 in April and has been playing disc golf for just over 2 years. With her accomplishments in the sport and her ability to throw the disc great distances you wouldn't think she just picked up a disc in 2022!

She is a 2x World distance records holder in the 7yo girls 62.07m and 8yo girls 86.36m. She added 10 and 20m to the records respectively!

In 2023 she was encouraged to attend the Junior worlds in Peoria, IL. A massive undertaking for an 8yo from New Zealand. She ended up winning the World Championships by 16 strokes and became New Zealand's first Disc Golf World Champion.

One of Sarah's best attributes is her ability to understand movement and where power comes from and then execute. Watch her throw a disc and you'll know what we are talking about!

While winning the world title was a major highlight, when asked about the World Champs by the media she was very quick to proclaim that the highlight for her was meeting and playing with other girls her age.

Sarah has pursuits outside of disc golf. This year she added 1.85m to the 8yo girls Provincial shot put record and smashed the club discus record by 7m. She is also very good at gymnastics, a sport that has tried very hard to get her competing competitively.

This year Sarah wasn't looking to come to the states for the Junior World Championships in Tulsa, Ok this year due to how expensive it would be to come from New Zealand. She has recently lost a loved one and her parents have had to put some money into the family business so it wasn't looking like it was going to happen... UNTIL! Sarah joined the Kona Krushers Program and after some convincing and some chatting with Kona Montgomery, we are making it happen along with your help!

At this current moment we are looking for support in helping Sarah get over here, help cover costs of food, room and board, rental cars, ETC.
