Dearest friends and family of Sarah - I know Sarah is feeling overwhelmed with love and is so grateful for the prayers, good vibes and all the positive things you’ve been putting into the universe as she tackles this journey.

As we look ahead to Sarah’s very long journey to recovery, we know the financial burden of this type of life-threatening situation will pile up over time. What we want more than anything is for Sarah to focus on her healing and recovery as stress-free as possible. With her return to work uncertain, relocation costs and extra childcare support for Westley, we’ve decided to start a GoFundMe to support Sarah, Daniel and Westley during this challenging time.

For those unfamiliar with Sarah’s story, she was diagnosed with Leukemia (B-cell ALL) while traveling abroad in Holland for work on the 20th of September, 2022. Given the aggressive nature of this type of cancer, Sarah was forced to start treatment in Europe before she could be repatriated back to the United States via Air Ambulance. She is now safely in the care of the City of Hope Cancer Center in Los Angeles, CA and has begun her 2.5 year-long chemotherapy regimen in the hopes of beating this thing. Sarah is on an indefinite leave of absence from work and her family had to rapidly vacate their home in the bay area in order to relocate to be closer to her treatment facility.

Those of us who know Sarah as a daughter, cousin, niece, or friend, already know how kind and compassionate she is, how she will drop everything to help someone in need and be the first to raise her hand when help is needed. Now, as we come together for Sarah, it’s time for us to raise our hands and help her fight this.
