Hello, my name is Sarah Mungia. Most people know me as the small-town girl who works for H-E-B — a company I love and am proud to be part of.

This past April, my life took an unexpected turn when I was diagnosed with a brain tumor (Meningioma) and a rare condition called Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension. The pain and pressure in my head have been unbearable. I’ve been in and out of hospitals, through endless doctor visits, tests, and still haven’t found relief. But I haven’t lost hope. 

My husband and I are doing everything we can to keep going, but we’re falling behind fast. Medical bills, living expenses, medications have piled up. We’ve used up our savings and 401k and are now having to sell a few personal belongings just to stay afloat.

This is not how we imagined our first year of marriage—but our love keeps us strong, even on the hardest days. We’ve always been givers, never askers. But now we’re asking—with full hearts and deep humility—for help.
