Hello there, in February this year I learned I have hearing lost in both ears. I’d noticed a few years ago and the struggle to hear properly slowly got worse. For the last month I had a trial with hearing aids to see if they would help. They did. Greatly. I could hear my customers, I felt comfortable going to restaurants or out with friends again (safely, of course.) Activities that I didn’t realize I was avoiding because I couldn’t hear anyone well.
It’s embarrassing to ask someone to repeat themselves multiple times. Not having to do that was amazing and so freeing.
The trial has ended and now I’m back to where I started, but worse. I know it can be better.
Currently the hearing aids I trialed are on sale for $4800. I’m asking for help with $5040 (cost plus GST & estimated processing fees (2.9% plus .30 per donation.))
Please, if you are able to help, or share, I’d be extremely grateful. I don’t have any benefits and my business is limping along in this pandemic. I haven’t been able to pay myself in years, so this medical expense is a dream without help.
