Hi. My name is Sarah Ross and I'm raising funds to go directly to MedVet. My dog Ziggy was brutally attacked on Wednesday by coyotes. I rushed him to the closest emergency veterinary hospital where I had to make the decision for Ziggy to either have surgery to possibly save his life or have him put down. I was given about 5 minutes to make this decision. Before that time was up and while I was on the phone trying to get assistance with this decision, the vet came in to tell me that his brain was starting to swell and that he was showing signs of neurological damage and it was suggested to put him down. It was the humane thing to do, especially if you saw his poor body. He had bites over more than 80% of his body. My poor boy was almost 10 years old and has been by my side throughout everything, including the death of my husband 7 years ago. I have two small kids from my new relationship and was not prepared for these expenses and have no way of paying for it, and they won't release my dog to me so I can have him cremated until I pay the invoice and was given only a few days to do so. I want my boy back home with his family so we can properly grieve our boy and he can finally rest in peace. We are absolutely heartbroken. I'm afraid that if I can't pay it in time, they will throw away my precious boy in the trash. My second dog Sampson went missing for 5 days during this time and was severely injured and then was in the hospital for 5 days with a $5500 bill which is why I can't afford this second bill.
