Help Sarah and Michael with transplant expenses

As you may already know, my fiance Sarah spent 2½ months in the hospital during the summer of 2019 with pneumonia including time spent in a coma. This caused the kidney transplant she received in 2013 to reject, and for the past 3 years Sarah has been on dialysis waiting for a kidney.

 

 

Thankfully, after two aborted surgeries and trips to the Mayo Clinic, today we were told that we finally had a kidney. When Sarah was last ill I had to take several months off work. During that time we had set up a GoFundMe which many of you incredibly generously donated to, which made that time with her as she recovered possible. In the words of Bernie Sanders, I am once again asking for your financial support.

 

 

We live 3 hours from the Mayo Clinic where the transplant is happening. I will need to take several weeks off work as her primary caregiver, and the cost of an extended hotel stay, lost wages, and multiple trips between Des Moines, IA and Rochester, MN will be very costly. Anything that you are able to spare would be incredibly helpful to Sarah and I. Even if you are unable to we would greatly appreciate if you could share this on social media.
