Loved ones, friends and family,
Our dear dear friend Sara has been diagnosed with stage three Hodgkins lymphoma. She has spent the last few weeks in and out of doctors offices preparing for this journey. It has been a whirlwind but she's been smiling, laughing, and making Self pity jokes through it all... Some tears have also been shed :) Sara has stressed that she is NOT dying! Though it is awful news, she's been very cognizant of all that she has to be thankful for, and we think of and ache for those in worse situations than she. Sara will get through this just fine, but has to prepare for chemo and all that it entails.
The holidays are approaching and it is a beautiful yet stressful time of year. The Underwoods are handling this very well, however, I was thinking the least but probably most helpful thing we could do to relieve burden on the family would be to alleviate some of the financial stress. I ask no more than any one can afford. As they say, there is power in numbers so any donation helps - big or small. If you are not in a situation to donate a few dollars please don't. In lieu of, I'm certain she'd love for you just to say hi and drop your best joke in her DMs. Strength, prayers, thoughts and vibes are SO important and also very welcomed. But, If you are able to donate, $1, 5 dollars, it doesn't matter, every cent is noticed and appreciated. A lot goes into preparing for chemo and whatever chunk we can consume will take world's of stress off the shoulders of Sara's mom and dad (who have always been there for me, and many others). I'm thankful for this community we have and all the kindness and support that has been shown and will continue to show -I beleive we are all here to help one another - An unexplainable amount of appreciation and gratitude from myself and the Underwoods, to YOU, for taking the time to read this today. Bless you all!!
