I'm reaching out on behalf of my dear friend, Sara Levy, who is facing an major health challenge. Sara was diagnosed with Superior Canal Dehiscence Syndrome years ago, but her brain surgery was delayed due to a long waiting list. Just a few days ago, Sara learned that a last-minute spot had opened for her surgery, scheduled for today, Thursday, November 7. With little time to prepare, she decided to move forward with this life-changing procedure, which will be performed by Dr. Isaac Yang and Dr. Quentin Gopen at UCLA. Her recovery period is expected to be 4-8 weeks, and during this time, she will need financial support to cover essential living and medical expenses for herself and Misha.
Sara is a devoted single mother, raising her 10-year-old son, Misha, and balancing everything while managing this debilitating condition. For over 25 years, Sara has been an incredible music teacher in Los Angeles, inspiring countless children and adults through piano. Known for her generous spirit, she’s quietly faced this serious condition.
Now, Sara and her son, Misha, truly need our support. Any contribution, big or small, will make a significant impact, helping them cover essential expenses during her recovery.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
We’ll provide updates on her progress following surgery and as she recovers.
Please keep Sara bat Leah in your prayers

1/30 Update on Sara's Recovery Journey
Sara saw both of her surgeons on February 22, and they agreed that her recovery is progressing more slowly than expected, with some concerning symptoms. As a result, they have ordered a series of tests to better understand what’s going on and have prescribed new nerve pain medication to help manage her discomfort. While this isn’t the progress she had hoped for, she remains determined to push through. She will be seeing her surgeons again in about six weeks for further evaluation.
Your continued support and generosity mean the world to her during this challenging time. Every donation, share, and kind message makes a difference in her journey toward healing. Thank you for standing by her!
