Help Sara Segovia Care for Her Ill Mother and Family

Hello, my name is Sara Segovia. Some of you may know me because of my daughter Kelly Segovia, who was diagnosed with cancer 8 years ago. It's been a tough battle. I was not able to work for 4 years because I had to take care of my little girl. Thank God, at the time I was married and had some financial support. Currently, my daughter is at 5-year remission, and we were finally getting to live our lives.
On Saturday, October 12, 2024, I took my mother, Maria Alvarado Segovia, to the emergency room because she was having extreme headaches. We then later that night found out that she has an aneurysm in the front part of her brain, and she was also diagnosed with leukemia AML.
My mom is currently really ill. She has pneumonia in her lungs, she's constantly receiving blood transfusions and platelets. She's been on strong chemotherapy that has her weak, short of breath, and with no appetite. My mother is 70 years old and doesn't speak English. There are times that she is in so much pain she can't advocate for herself and needs me to do that. I am a single mom of 4 children. I am the financial head for my children and my mother; she only has me here. My other sister is in El Salvador and cannot travel here. I have not been able to work for a week and won't be able to return to work. My mother is all I have now; I lost my dad 5 years ago. My mother's insurance won't cover all the expenses, her treatment is for life and she also needs surgery. with me not being able to work, I won't be able to provide for my children and my mother. She is currently at John Hopkins in Baltimore, we are 1 hour and 30 minutes away. Without a vehicle, I spend $100 on Uber trips to be able to go home and feed my kids and $100 to come back. My mom has a long road ahead. I would know since I battled this twice with my daughter. I will need to bring her 3 times a week to the hospital for treatments once she is able to go home. She isn't looking so well since she is an older lady; her body can't handle the treatments well. I am so afraid to lose my mom and all I want is to be able to spend every day with her and give her the best care I can. So, I am here asking for financial help so that I can pay medical expenses and monthly bills to survive so I can provide a roof over my family's head until, in God's name, my mom wins this battle! I am really grateful for the time you are taking to read my story. Please share; anything will help, even a prayer.
