My name is Margaret, and I am raising money on behalf of one of my best friends, Sara. They can't safely raise money themselves, due to their abusive and controlling family. Sara's beloved therapy cat, Ava, has been sick lately. It looks to be very treatable, but just the diagnostics have devoured all of the money Sara had. I am hoping we can cover those diagnostics as well as treatment. Here's what Sara wrote about the situation:

"Ava, my 11 year old emotional support cat, has elevated liver values and her ultrasound showed bright spots in her gall bladder and all over her liver. The good news is there are no masses or obstructions. However, she's barely eating even with two appetite stimulants and an antinausea med. The cost of the visits, ultrasound, and meds is already over $1,000, and she's scheduled for additional testing Monday that will cost at least another $1,000.

I'm nonbinary, disabled, and underemployed. I'm also the caregiver for my Deaf and disabled brother, which prevents me from cutting contact with my abusive, queerphobic family. Ava is the linchpin of my sanity and the idea of losing her from something relatively easy to treat is devastating."
