Help Sara Recover from Car Accident Loss

On Friday, March 14th, my oldest daughter, Sara, was in a car accident that resulted in the total loss of her car. She was pulling out of her driveway that morning when another vehicle (who we suspect was speeding, but with no verifying proof) collided with the front of Sara's car on the driver's side. This resulted in Sara's vehicle doing a complete 90-degree angle turn, slamming into another parked car. Fortunately, nobody was in the parked car at the time.

The left door and steering wheel airbags were deployed, unfortunately leaving Sara slightly whiplashed and sore in the back, shoulders, neck, face, and wrists. The airbags were also deployed for the other driver involved, and we are all thankful that there were no serious injuries to anyone that day. Obviously, mentally she is a bit shaken up, as I'm sure all parties involved are, but she is eager to get back to her day-to-day life.

Because Sara was leasing her vehicle, she unfortunately will receive no payments after the settlement is finished, and because there is (currently) no proof that the other driver was speeding, the insurance company is more than likely going to deem Sara as liable for all the damage. In addition, Sara's insurance does not cover the cost of a rental car while she navigates the next steps of finding a new car and finding transportation to and from work.

Sara has expressed great gratitude for her roommates, friends, coworkers, and her parents for all of the financial and emotional support, but she is not in the position to be able to afford a new car at this time. Ubers are expensive, and public transportation is unsafe (she is a bartender that works nights). The stress of the insurance claims and investigation, the uncertainty of how she will get to and from work, on top of the soreness she has been experiencing these past few days, we are hoping to get any help to get her back on her feet, and back behind the wheel.

All donations will go towards bills, temporary transportation while we wait for the settlement to be finished, and a new car when this is all over.
