In the devastating 2014 war, Sara was severely injured, forcing her to remain homebound for three years. She lost her home, her school, her friends, and most heartbreakingly, many members of her family. Her father, her rock, remains separated from her, leaving Sara with the heavy burden of caring for her remaining loved ones.

Despite enduring displacement, fear, and hunger, Sara refused to let despair silence her. Together with her sister, Hanin, she found her voice in writing, publishing a powerful poetry book titled Unmuted Echoes of Peace. Their book captures their vision for hope and a brighter future for the children of Gaza, proving that even in the darkest moments, light can emerge.

But Sara’s challenges are far from over. She dreams of continuing her education to rebuild her life and amplify the voices of children like her. However, ongoing hardships, including limited internet access and the loss of supporters through social media restrictions, have made it even harder for her to pursue this dream.
